Grapevine

Grapevine is identical in size and layout to Passiflore but has an additional bedroom plus bathroom annex which in turn has its own terrace. This annexe bedroom is connected to the main apartment containing the other two bedrooms by its terraces and cannot be accessed from inside the main living area.  With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and living area, it is ideally suited for families who have friends, teenagers or grandparents who wish to be together but enjoy their own private space. It is less suitable for parents with young children due to the layout.
Both the apartment and annex terraces at the back have immediate access to our large meadow garden and swimming pool. Large walnut trees offer splendid shaded areas for eating or reading and from this garden you gain a beautiful view over Pechboutier and its woodland which provides a delightful spot for bird watching.
A children’s play area located at the bottom of the garden provides entertainment for children in a safe environment that can be viewed from the terraces for the comfort and relaxation of the parents with total peace of mind.

We agree wholeheartedly with Trip Advisor that Le Chevrefeuille is one of the best places to stay in the Dordogne. We stayed in the Breadroom in mid August, a delightful room with our own terrace which enjoys views of the pool and the shade of the walnut tree.
Sara gave us a very warm welcome and a well-received cool drink on arrival. Le Chevrefeuille is beautifully set out and very well equipped. We enjoyed the Breadroom with its view of the pool and shade of the walnut tree from our own terrace – beyond, the tranquillity of the local countryside.
A lovely breakfast was prepared every morning which we would take on the lawn and contemplate the day’s activities. Sara was a wealth of information on the surrouding area and gave us plenty of suggestions and tips. They have a well stocked reception with lots of helpful literature on the area. Lots to see in the area – most just 30 mins drive away.
Having enjoyed a day touring, canoeing or making use of the free cycles at Le Chevrefeulle we looked forward to a pre dinner swim in the pool, or a relaxing drink on our terrace followed by a gourmet evening in the open air dining area. The food Ian prepared was absolutely exquisite and the perfect end to the day, having only a few steps to negotiate from our room and back. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and food to die for. We ate all 4 nights Ian cooked.
I have already strongly recommended Le Chefrefeuille to our family and friends and look forward to returning one day. Thanks to Sara and Ian for a superb holiday location.

We stayed with Sara and her family in September and had a wonderful time. The location is ideal for the exploring the Dordoyne area, yet in a quiet location. The standard of accommodation was excellent, it was clean and comfortable, and the style was tasteful. There were nice little extras that we didnt expect. eg tea making facilities in the room and outside area to BBQ.Breakfast – wow there was a great array of natural produce to choose from. Dining al fresco was wonderful.
We had dinner one night and it was fabulous.
We found Sara very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. As far as I am concerned, she goes above and beyond the call of duty and is an excellent hostess.

Thanks again, we will be back!
